Who Is FalleN
FalleN’s full name is Gabriel Toledo de Alcântara Sguario. He was born on May 30, 1991, making him 35 years old at the research date. He is Brazilian, and his professional history is closely tied to Brazilian Counter-Strike. The supplied profile lists Furia Esports as his current team and records his retirement announcement at IEM Rio 2026.
His identity within Counter-Strike combines two roles: AWPer and in-game leader. The first centers on the game’s signature sniper rifle; the second involves directing a team’s approach during matches. His 2016 recognition in both categories is a useful starting point for understanding his career: his achievements were not limited to individual shooting or team leadership alone.
Beyond professional play, FalleN owns the Games Academy esports organization and founded a gaming computer brand for the Brazilian market. These activities form another part of his esports career, alongside competition and content creation. For a broader biographical reference, readers can consult FalleN’s Wikipedia page.
Career Highlights
FalleN started playing Counter-Strike in 2003. His history across 1.6, Source, CS:GO and CS2 gives his profile a longer perspective than a single roster or version of the game. Those titles provide the backdrop to a career that includes championship wins, individual awards and recognition beyond tournament results.
The defining championship year was 2016. FalleN won MLG Columbus with Luminosity Gaming and ESL One Cologne with SK Gaming, becoming a two-time Major champion. The two victories came under different organization names, an important distinction when looking back at his record. Both titles belong to his CS:GO career.
Individual recognition followed the same strong period. HLTV ranked him the second-best player of 2016 and the sixth-best player of 2017. He also received AWPer of the Year and IGL of the Year recognition in 2016, followed by the ESL One Cologne MVP award in 2017.
At IEM Rio 2026, FalleN announced his retirement from professional play. That announcement is a major milestone in his career story. The supplied research does not specify a final competitive match date, so the announcement should not be treated as a precise last-match record.
Major Achievements
FalleN’s record includes both competitive results and recognition of his wider influence. The headline achievements are:
- 2015: Named the most influential person in Brazilian esports.
- 2016: Won MLG Columbus with Luminosity Gaming and ESL One Cologne with SK Gaming.
- 2016: Ranked No. 2 by HLTV and recognized as AWPer of the Year and IGL of the Year.
- 2017: Ranked No. 6 by HLTV and earned the ESL One Cologne MVP award.
