Looking for the best gaming phone under 20,000 taka in Bangladesh for Free Fire and PUBG Mobile? This guide does not give you a “top 10” list with prices. Here is why, and what we give you instead.
Phone prices in Bangladesh change every few weeks. Models launch, sell out and get replaced fast. Any price table we printed today would be wrong soon. So instead, we show you how to judge any phone in this budget yourself: which chipsets, how much RAM, and which specs to avoid.
The chipset notes below come from public spec sheets and community benchmark discussions. We have not tested every phone ourselves. Use this as a checklist, then check today’s price and specs on official channels.
What matters in a budget gaming phone
In order of importance for FF and PUBG:
- Chipset: the brain of the phone. It decides your FPS more than anything else.
- RAM: enough to keep the game loaded without stutter.
- Cooling and heat: a good chip that overheats will slow down mid-match.
- Storage type and space: affects loading time and how many games you can keep.
- Battery: gaming drains phones fast.
- Display: nice to have, but only after the points above.
Camera quality, thin design and fancy colors do nothing for gaming. Budget phones often spend money on cameras to look good in ads. For gaming, the chipset is where your taka should go.
Chipsets to look for under ৳20,000
Check the chipset name on the phone’s official spec page. Then match it to these rough groups. Exact performance varies by phone, because cooling and software matter too.
Good for gaming in this budget
- MediaTek Helio G99 and the G100 family: popular budget gaming chips. Community reports generally show smooth Free Fire and playable PUBG Mobile at moderate settings.
- MediaTek Dimensity 6000-series (such as 6100+ and 6300): entry 5G chips. Similar class to the Helio G99 for gaming, with 5G support.
- Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 and similar entry Snapdragon chips: fine for FF and casual PUBG.
Okay for Free Fire, weaker for PUBG
- Helio G85 / G88 / G91 class: older budget chips. Free Fire on Smooth is usually fine. PUBG Mobile works at low settings.
- Snapdragon 680 / 685 class: efficient and cool, but not strong for heavy games.
- Unisoc T606 / T612 class: very common in cheap phones. Fine for light gaming, weak for PUBG.
Stretch picks
Stronger chips, like the Snapdragon 6 and 7-class or Dimensity 7000-series, usually sit above ৳20,000 in Bangladesh. Sometimes an older model drops into this budget during a discount. If you see one at an official store, it is worth a look. But do not count on it.
One thing to watch: two phones with the same chip can still perform differently. Cooling, software and the brand’s own tuning matter. Look for recent gaming tests of the exact model before deciding.
RAM and storage: how much you need
- RAM: 6GB is the comfortable minimum for gaming in 2026. 8GB is better if the budget allows. 4GB can work for Free Fire but is tight for PUBG.
- Storage: 128GB is the sensible minimum. PUBG Mobile alone, with updates and resource packs, takes a lot of space.
- Storage type: UFS storage loads faster than eMMC. The spec sheet usually lists it. If it does not say, ask the seller.
About “virtual RAM” or “extended RAM”: many phones advertise numbers like “8GB + 8GB”. The second number is storage used as backup memory. It is much slower than real RAM and does not help gaming much. Always look at the real RAM number.
Specs to avoid for gaming
- 2GB or 3GB RAM variants. They will struggle with both games.
- 32GB or 64GB storage. You will run out of space fast.
- Listings that do not name the chipset, or just say “octa-core”.
- Ads that push the “virtual RAM” total much bigger than the real RAM.

Display and battery for gaming
Refresh rate: many budget phones now have 90Hz or 120Hz screens. That makes scrolling feel smooth. But in games, a budget chip often cannot reach 90 FPS. PUBG Mobile decides FPS options by device, so a 120Hz screen does not guarantee 90 FPS in PUBG.
Touch sampling rate: a higher touch rate can make controls feel a bit more responsive. It is a small bonus, not a deciding factor.
Screen size: 6.5 inches or more helps if you want to use claw controls with 4 fingers.
Battery: 5000mAh is common in this budget and is a good target. Faster charging is nice, but do not play while charging, because it heats the phone and can slow the game down.
Official vs grey-market phones in BD
You will see the same phone listed cheaper as “unofficial” or “international version”. That price gap is tempting. Here is what you trade for it:
- Warranty: official phones get brand warranty and service centers in Bangladesh. Unofficial phones usually depend on the shop’s own promise.
- Network registration: BTRC has been working on blocking unregistered handsets through its NEIR system. An unofficial phone may face network problems if it is not registered. Check BTRC’s official website for the current rules.
- Software and bands: some imported versions have different software or network bands.
Before buying any phone, check its IMEI with BTRC’s official IMEI check service. At the time of writing, this works by SMS (KYD, a space, then the IMEI, sent to 16002), but confirm the current method on BTRC’s website.
How to check today’s price
- Shortlist two or three phones using the chipset and RAM checklist above.
- Open each brand’s official Bangladesh website or verified official Facebook page and check the official price.
- Compare with authorized retailers and brand stores. The brand’s website usually lists its authorized partners.
- Confirm the exact variant. The same model name can come in 4GB, 6GB and 8GB versions at different prices.
- Watch for official discounts around Eid and other big sale seasons, when stronger phones sometimes drop into this budget.
If a random page sells a phone far below the official price, be careful. It may be grey market, refurbished, or a scam. Always ask for an official receipt and warranty card.

FAQ
Can a phone under 20,000 taka run PUBG Mobile smoothly?
Yes, at sensible settings. Phones with a Helio G99, Dimensity 6000-series or similar chip and 6GB RAM or more usually run PUBG Mobile at moderate settings. Do not expect 90 FPS, since that is mostly limited to stronger devices.
Is 4GB RAM enough for Free Fire?
4GB can run Free Fire, especially regular Free Fire on Smooth settings. For a new phone in 2026, 6GB gives more breathing room for updates and background apps. Avoid 2GB and 3GB variants for gaming.
Why do you not list exact phone prices?
Phone prices in Bangladesh change often, and models get replaced quickly. A price table would go out of date fast. Check the brand’s official Bangladesh website or authorized retailers for today’s price.
Should I buy an unofficial phone to save money?
It is a risk. Unofficial phones usually lack brand warranty in Bangladesh and may face network registration issues under BTRC rules. Check the IMEI with BTRC before buying, and weigh the savings against losing warranty.
