If your PUBG Mobile redeem code is not working, the problem is almost never the code itself — it is usually one of six specific, fixable causes. This guide walks through the correct redemption process, then breaks down every error you are likely to hit and how to clear it.
Redeem codes are how Krafton hands out free UC, weapon skins, crate coupons, outfits and Royale Pass items. They are also short-lived, region-locked and case-sensitive, which is why so many players see a red error message instead of a reward.

This is the single most common reason a PUBG Mobile redeem code is not working. Most codes stay live for only 24 to 72 hours. Many also carry a global claim cap — once enough players redeem it, it dies early regardless of the posted expiry.
If you found the code on a listicle that has not been updated today, assume it is expired. Code roundups age badly, and a page dated last month is almost certainly listing dead codes.
Codes are frequently issued per-region. A Global-server code will not redeem on the China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan or Vietnam builds, and vice versa. If a code returns “invalid” instantly and you have triple-checked the spelling, region lock is the likely culprit.
Do not try to route around this with a VPN. Using one to bypass region restrictions violates PUBG Mobile’s terms of service and carries a permanent ban risk. A free skin is not worth your account.
Your Character ID is a long numeric string, and a single wrong digit produces an error — or worse, silently credits someone else’s account. Always copy it directly from your in-game profile rather than working from memory.
The Redemption Center displays the nickname attached to the ID before you confirm. Read that nickname. If it is not yours, stop and re-copy the ID.
Codes are case-sensitive, and they mix characters that look nearly identical in most fonts: capital O versus zero, capital I versus lowercase l versus 1. Typing a code by hand is how most players burn an attempt.
Copy and paste every time. If you must type it, do it in a plain text field first so you can inspect it.
Guest accounts are locked out of redemption entirely. If you have never bound your account to a social login, no code will ever work. Link it, then retry.
This also protects your progress — guest accounts are lost permanently if you change devices or clear app data.
When a popular code drops, the redemption page gets hammered. Errors and hanging CAPTCHAs during those windows are server-side, not your fault. Wait a few minutes, switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, or try a different browser, then relaunch the game to refresh your account data.
Open PUBG Mobile and tap your avatar in the top-left corner of the lobby. Your Character ID appears directly beneath your in-game name as a numeric string. Tap it to copy.
You can also find it in the inventory screen and on your match result cards. Any of these work — just make sure you are copying the numeric ID and not your display name, which is not accepted.
